Hello!
 

Thanks for visiting. If you’ve come here I’m guessing that you are about to become the proud owner of a new puppy or perhaps you're welcoming a rowdy rescue dog into your house for the first time and are in need of some dog training advice?

So how can I help you and your dog?

Dogs ‘misbehave’ for a variety of reasons, including lack of training, frustration, boredom, lack of confidence or anxiety. I can help you to understand why your dog is behaving in a way you don’t want and teach you how to guide them to behave more appropriately. I use proven scientific methods which are based on how dogs learn, and I strongly believe that it’s essential to create a suitable learning environment, your home or a local park for example, to enable you and your dog to flourish. 

Why choose me?

I've had the pleasure of sharing my life and home with multiple rescue dogs over the past twenty years. This has provided me with valuable first hand experience of some of the challenges which you might be facing if you're a first time dog/puppy owner.
 

I've got practical experience of teaching and assisting with group classes, coaching owners in 1-2-1 sessions. I constantly strive to ensure my knowledge is up-to-date, and attend seminars and study with leading industry professionals regularly. See below for a list of courses completed and qualifications.

When we meet for the first time I'll spend a lot of time getting to know you and your dog. We'll identify any issues together and can then work to resolve them. I believe in understanding the full picture and tailoring a training package  specific to you, your dog, your lifestyle and your specific requirements. Training is carried out at a time and location to suit you and your dog and we'll make use of natural environments (your local park for example) to allow you to teach your dog real life skills.

First met Katie when my pup (Argo) was 14 weeks. Argo is a low content wolf dog which brings a new dimension to dog training.

 

Katie has taken the time to get to know Argo and understand the differences that the wolf DNA presents.  As a consequence Katie's guidance has been invaluable in developing trust and respect through her fun, relaxed and positive training.
